Southwest Airlines: Adopt-A-Pilot Blog

Feb 12 2006

This week we launched the Southwest Airlines Adopt-A-Pilot blog. The blog is a new tool for the Adopt-A-Pilot program that is intended to bring the pilots closer to the classrooms. RD2 is proud to have been a part of the project and is delighted to see so much publicity around this in local media coverage.

“The Southwest Airlines Adopt-A-Pilot program is a four-week program that packs math, science, geography, history and creative writing into a sky-high educational adventure for hundreds of classrooms across the nation.” – - reference: Southwest Programs

Thanks Andy for your support…

Stay tuned for more really exciting stuff between RD2 and Southwest Airlines.

  1. One of my favorite, and few, shows that I watch currently is Airline on A&E where cameras follow Southwest employees and customers while on day-to-day business. It’s a fascinating show. Recently I caught an episode that highlighted the Adopt-A-Pilot program (http://www.aetv.com/listings/episode_details.do?episodeid=112228) that seemed really great for the kids and it’s nice that Southwest is able to do this.

As Southwest highlights this an other programs on Airline, that will definitely spur more traffic to the Adopt-A-Pilot blog which is a fantastic site.
